Business case


Air Traffic Control Netherlands was looking for an external party to take over the production of their microphones, whereas quality and reliability were to be guaranteed. The outdated system had to be replaced by a microphone that would comply with the strict requirements.

In collaboration with Imtradex our own technical expert developed a new type of microphone in which speech delay was reduced to several milliseconds. The functioning and performance of the PTT button were as such enhanced and adapted to intensive use. In a mission-critical environment where every second could make a major difference, this product has caused Air Traffic Control Netherlands to reach an unprecedented high performance level.

The direct communication between the Ari Traffic Control and the pilot now runs via a system with a delay so minimal that it is negligible, while reliability and performance of the system were improved. Also quickly plugging in by supervisors has been maintained its quality thanks to this unique solution. The product developed is entirely unique for Air Traffic Control Netherlands.
